We keep the range focused on pieces that actually get used. Every teapot, gaiwan, and gongdao cup here is something Joanne has tested at our Tea Bar in Hobart's Salamanca Art Centre. If it doesn't brew well or feels awkward in the hand, it doesn't make it onto the shelf.
For Chinese and Taiwanese teas, our handcraft Yixing clay teapots are worth a look — they're made from genuine Yixing purple clay and develop character with each brew. If you're after something more versatile, the 300ml glass teapot with infuser handles everything from jasmine pearls to white tea, and you can watch the leaves unfurl as they steep.
New to gongfu-style brewing? Start with the Foshou glazed gaiwan — it's forgiving for beginners and looks good on any table. Pair it with a gongdao cup and you've got a proper set-up.
