Tea Gifts for Teams & Clients

Looking for a gift for a team that's worked hard all year, or for clients you'd like to thank? The hard part is finding something people will actually use, and remember where it came from.

We've run our tea shop at Salamanca Art Centre in Hobart since 2022, and in that time a good number of companies have come to us for exactly this. A company in Melbourne ordered 40 Evening Tea Sampler Packs in one go. A group in Hobart for a meeting bought blooming teas from us to hand out, because picking up something local was easier than bringing gifts from home. And our Blooming Flower Tea Gift Box has turned up in a lot of office Secret Santas.

Those orders, and what people told us afterwards, taught us a few things:

  • Blooming tea gets filmed. Pour hot water over one in a glass and most people reach for their phone while it opens.
  • If you don't know everyone's habits, caffeine-free is the safe choice. The Evening pack has no caffeine at all, which takes the guesswork out when you're buying for a big group.
  • Visitors to Tasmania like taking something Tasmanian home. Our Special Tea Box is three local blends in one box, and it's an easy thing to carry back.
  • How a gift is packed matters nearly as much as what's in it. One customer wrote that the gift they sent "was very beautifully packed, and the recipient was thrilled to receive it." Another thanked us for writing out their personal message and getting it there quickly.

A word on the teapot set

If your budget runs to it, this is the one we'd point you to. It's one of our most gifted products and it comes up in our reviews more than almost anything else we sell. People pick it up in the shop and tell us they want one for themselves. Pair it with a tea pack and the person opening it has everything they need to make a pot that evening. And if they're not much of a tea drinker, it still ends up being used at home.

Ordering for a group

Here's what most people want to know before they commit.

How many

Ten or more of the same gift, for example 10 Evening Tea Sampler Packs or 10 teapot sets with the Special Tea Box. For fewer than ten, the online shop is quicker and the price is the same. If you're ordering a larger quantity, we offer a discount, and you'll see it on your quote.

How to order

Send us a message through the contact form. Tell us how many people, roughly what you'd like to spend per person, the delivery address, and the date you need everything by. If you're not sure which gift suits, say so and we'll suggest one. Zachary looks after these orders and usually replies within one business day with a suggestion and a quote.

Invoice and payment

We send a tax invoice showing our ABN and GST. You can pay by card or bank transfer, and we start packing once payment comes through.

When it ships

In-stock orders leave Hobart two to three business days after payment. We post Monday to Friday, not on weekends or public holidays. If you'd like a handwritten card with each gift, send us the message and we'll include it at no charge.

How long delivery takes

Everything goes by Australia Post with tracking, to one address per order (your office or the venue, say). Standard postage is free on orders over $95, so most group orders ship free. Once posted, Standard usually takes:

Need it sooner? Express Post usually arrives the next business day within Australia Post's Express network. A large order can need more than one parcel, so we'll put the Express cost on your quote. If you're in Hobart, you can also collect from our Tea Bar at Salamanca.

Working back from your date

Allow about a day for the quote, two to three business days to pack after payment, then postage. For a mainland capital city, getting in touch two weeks ahead leaves room to spare. Shorter than that? Tell us the date and we'll let you know straight away whether we can make it.

Questions people ask

Can we see one before we order?

Buy a single pack from the online shop at the normal price. If you go ahead with a group order, we'll take it off the invoice.

Which gifts are caffeine-free?

The Evening Tea Sampler Pack and the pure-blossom Blooming Flower Teas. Everything else has tea leaves in it, so it has some caffeine. If the whole order needs to be caffeine-free, tell us and we'll build it that way.

Can you post to several addresses?

Each order goes to one address. If you need gifts sent to different places, mention it in your message and we'll quote the postage for each.

Can you put together something that isn't listed here?

Usually, yes. Tell us the budget and who it's for, and we'll suggest a combination from what's in the shop.

Do you pack before payment?

No. The invoice goes out as soon as you confirm, so the gap is usually a day or two.
