Antioxidant-rich tea refers to tea types that naturally contain catechins, EGCG, and other tea polyphenols. Green tea, matcha, white tea, and raw (sheng) puerh are commonly discussed for these compounds, and this collection brings together our range of those teas.
Green teas are a good place to start because the leaves are minimally processed. Our Dragon Well from Zhejiang and Gyokuro from Japan are both valued for their clean flavour and naturally occurring tea compounds. For something local, the Tasmanian Huon Green is grown in Tasmania's Huon Valley — clean air, no pesticides, from $5.
If you want a whole-leaf preparation, matcha is the most direct option because you drink the powdered leaf rather than an infusion. Our HIJIRI-NO-SATO ceremonial grade matcha comes from Uji, Kyoto, and works well whisked traditionally or as a latte base.
White tea offers a gentler option. Silver Needles is made from just the bud tips, while Jasmine Dragon Pearls pairs green tea with traditional jasmine scenting. Both are good starting points if you want a lighter cup.
For something different, Raw Puerh from Yunnan is rich in tea polyphenols and gets more complex with age. All teas in this collection are loose-leaf with no artificial additives — just the leaves, brewed your way.
