Evening Tea

8 products

Evening tea is a caffeine-free or very low caffeine tea chosen for drinking after dinner or before bed. The best evening cups are usually herbal tisanes, rose tea, aged mandarin peel, and select white teas — warm, aromatic, and gentle enough for a slower end to the day.

After dinner, I often want something warm and comforting without reaching for a strong caffeinated tea. If that sounds familiar, you're in the right place. Everything in this collection has little to no caffeine, so it suits an evening routine better than matcha, black tea, or raw pu-erh.

Our evening tea picks

Sweet Rose Dew is caffeine-free and one of our most-loved evening teas. Whole rose petals brew into a honey-sweet, fragrant cup. For something earthy, our Tasmanian Lavender Puerh, awarded at the 2025 Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards, has lower caffeine and pairs Yunnan ripe pu-erh with locally grown Tasmanian lavender.

Aged Mandarin Peel (Chen Pi) brews a smooth, sweet citrus cup with no caffeine. It's been used in Chinese households for generations as an after-dinner drink. Blooming Flower Tea is another caffeine-free option when you choose the pure blossom varieties. Watching the flower unfurl in a glass teapot is a nice way to slow down at the end of the day.

Not sure which one suits you? Our Evening Tea Sampler Pack ($25) includes samples of four evening teas so you can try before committing.
