Tasmanian Tea

6 products

Our Tasmanian tea collection brings together teas that are either grown in Tasmania or blended with Tasmanian ingredients. Some use tea leaves from the Huon Valley. Others pair traditional tea bases with local produce like lavender, Pinot grapes, peppermint, and native pepper berries. If you're visiting Hobart and want to take home something local, or you're a Tasmanian looking for teas made here, this is where to start.

What's in the range

Our Tasmanian Lavender Puerh won medal in the blended tea category at the 2025 Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards. It pairs ripe puerh from Yunnan with Tasmanian-grown dried lavender — earthy, calming, and good after dinner. Tasmanian Pinot Black Tea draws on Tasmania's wine culture, blending local black tea with dried Pinot grapes for a grape-forward cup that wine lovers tend to enjoy. Tasmanian Breakfast Black Tea combines Huon Valley teas with native pepper berries — milder than an English Breakfast, with plum notes and a gentle warmth that works well with milk.

For green tea drinkers, Tasmanian Huon Green Tea is grown in the Huon Valley without pesticides — light, grassy, and clean. Tasmanian Mint Green Tea pairs organic local peppermint with Chinese organic green tea for a refreshing brew.

Try before you buy

All five teas are available to sample at our Tea Bar in Salamanca Art Centre, and most come in a 6g sample size if you'd like to try at home first. If you want to taste across the range, our Tasmanian Special Collection box ($49) includes a selection of these teas in one gift-ready package.
