Sweet Rose Dew

Sweet Rose Dew is a caffeine-free tisane made from rose petals harvested in Shandong province, China. The petals are dried to preserve their natural sweetness, and the result is a cup with rich floral notes and a honey-like finish. No added sugar, no flavourings — the sweetness comes entirely from the roses themselves.

This tea has a following among our evening drinkers. The flavour is deeper than you might expect from a rose tea — there's a warmth to it that makes it feel comforting, not just floral. It works well as a wind-down drink after dinner, or any time you want something gentle without caffeine.

Tea profile

Taste: Floral, Rich, Honey Sweet.

Type: Tisane (caffeine-free).

Origin: Shandong Province, China.

Ingredients: 100% rose petals, no artificial flavours or preservatives.

Net Weight: 30g (about 15 servings) or 60g.

Harvest Year: 2024.

Brewing

Western: Use 2g per 250ml cup with 80°C water. Steep 3 minutes. Good for 2 infusions.

Gongfu: Use 3g per 150ml gaiwan with 90°C water. Start at 10 seconds, add 20 seconds from the fourth brew onwards. You can get 5-6 infusions this way, with each one showing a slightly different side of the rose flavour.

Cold brew: Works well as a cold brew too. Cold brew instructions here.

Joanne's tip

Liz, one of our online customers, described this tea as "just beautiful — the depth makes it really comforting." That's a good way to put it. I've included Sweet Rose Dew in our Evening Sample Pack ($25) because it's one of those reliable evening cups many of our customers keep coming back to.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place away from light and moisture.
