This iron tea warmer looks like a miniature vintage stove and uses a standard tea light candle to keep your teapot warm. Place any flat-bottomed teapot on top, light the candle, and your tea stays at drinking temperature for well over an hour.

Joanne's tip

I use a warmer through the entire Tasmanian winter (which is most of the year, honestly). A gentle candle flame keeps the tea warm without cooking it further — it's different from reboiling, which can make tea taste flat. Use an unscented tea light so the fragrance doesn't interfere with the tea.

Care

Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Cast iron is durable and heat-resistant. If candle wax drips onto the warmer, let it cool and peel it off, or warm it gently with a hairdryer to wipe away.
