Peach pink wildflower hand-painted teapot, 160ml

This wildflower teapot is a small round porcelain teapot in a soft peach pink glaze, holding 160 ml, painted by hand with white and pink flowers, grass-green leaves and small clusters of raised gold dots. It is made in Dehua, Fujian.

The glaze has a slightly matte, powdery finish rather than a high gloss, which suits the pastel colours. The lid knob is a little ring with a hole through it, and the handle is a simple loop. Each pot is painted individually, so flower placement moves around a bit from pot to pot.

At 160 ml it pours two or three small cups. The matching footed cup is listed separately, and the two together make an easy gift.

Care

Rinse with hot water before first use. Hand wash with warm water and a soft cloth. The painted pattern sits under the glaze, so it will not scratch off in normal use, but we would still keep it out of the dishwasher and microwave.

Shipping

Ships from Hobart, Tasmania. Free shipping on orders over $95 Australia-wide. Each piece is wrapped and boxed with padding.
