Peach pink wildflower footed tea cup, 100ml

This wildflower cup is a footed porcelain tea cup in a soft peach pink glaze, holding 100 ml, with white and pink flowers, green leaves and gold dots painted by hand on the outside. It is made in Dehua, Fujian, and matches the wildflower teapot in the same series.

The rim is scalloped and the bowl sits on a short stem foot, so you pick it up by the foot rather than the warm bowl. Inside it is plain cream so the colour of the tea reads clearly. The powdery matte glaze is pleasant to hold and does not slip.

At 100 ml it is a little bigger than a typical gongfu cup, so it also suits a slower cup of tea on its own.

Care

Rinse with hot water before first use. Hand wash with warm water and a soft cloth. The painted pattern sits under the glaze, so it will not scratch off in normal use, but we would still keep it out of the dishwasher and microwave.

Shipping

Ships from Hobart, Tasmania. Free shipping on orders over $95 Australia-wide. Each piece is wrapped and boxed with padding.
