Low Caffeine

17 products

Low caffeine teas contain roughly 10–30mg of caffeine per cup — about a quarter of what you'd get from coffee. They're a good fit for late afternoons, evenings, or anytime you want the warmth and flavour of real tea with a gentler caffeine level. Everything in this collection comes from Camellia sinensis, the tea plant, so these are still true teas rather than herbal infusions.

Our Tasmanian Lavender Puerh was awarded at the 2025 Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards — it's a Menghai ripe pu-erh blended with locally grown lavender, earthy and floral. For white tea fans, Aged White Tea 2012 has developed a honeyed depth over its years of ageing that you won't find in younger whites. And Gardenia White Tea carries a natural floral sweetness from gardenia buds dried alongside the tea leaves.

The caffeine in white and aged teas tends to be gentler than matcha, black tea, or raw pu-erh. That said, if you're particularly sensitive or drinking close to bedtime, our caffeine-free herbals are the zero-caffeine option. And if you want more energy, our medium caffeine and high caffeine collections have stronger choices.

We brew a lot of these at the Tea Bar in Salamanca Art Centre, especially in the afternoons. If you're in Hobart, come in and we'll set up a tasting for you.
