The Bamboo Spinning Brew is a Chinese tea set with a side-handle teapot, three cups, and a hard-shell carry case. The teapot is made from Dehua white porcelain with a beech wood handle and brass connector, and it holds 200ml, which is a comfortable size for gongfu-style brewing.

What sets this apart from a standard travel set is the spinning brew mechanism. There's a ceramic strainer built into the pot that rotates. Twist it one way to steep, twist it back to separate the tea from the water. You don't need a separate fairness cup or strainer, and you get more control over how strong you want your tea. If you've ever over-steeped a gongfu brew because you were a few seconds slow pouring off, this solves that.

The teapot body features hand-painted bamboo leaves on white porcelain, with the beech wood side handle staying cool while you pour. The three matching cups hold 45ml each. Everything fits into a grey EVA hard-shell case with a zip, which protects the set better than the soft pouches you'll find with most travel tea sets.

The set also comes with a tea cloth, gift box, and carry bag, so it's ready to give as-is if you're buying for someone else.

Care and storage

Hand wash with warm water after each use. The porcelain is dishwasher safe on the top rack. The beech wood handle should be wiped dry and not soaked. Store the set in the carry case between uses. Not suitable for the microwave.
