Story of Lapsang Souchong (Floral):

We are thrilled to introduce you to our special collection of Lapsang Souchong - FLORAL. Compared to the Original Smoked, it has a lesser-known, non-smoked version that showcases a delicate, floral aroma and smooth, sweet taste. This tea is produced in the same region as its smoky counterpart, the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, China. However, the floral Lapsang Souchong is not dried over pinewood fires, which allows its natural, floral notes to shine through. With a lighter and refreshing finish, the floral Lapsang Souchong offers a completely different experience from the Lapsang Souchong Smoked, enchanting tea lovers with its unique character and charm.

Taste Profile: Fruity / Honey-scented /Sweet

Tea Type: Black Tea

Origin: Tongmuguan, Fujian, China

Ingredients: 100% loose tea leaves.

Year: Spring Harvest, 2023

No Artificial Flavors, Colors or Preservatives.

Brewing Instructions

Western brewing:
2 g/ 250ml teapot, 90°c water. Waiting for 3mins, up to 2 infusions. 

Gongfu brewing:
5 g/ 150ml Gaiwan or teapot. Warm up the vessel first. Brew the tea with 90°c water, and wait 20 secs for the first infusion. Add 10 secs from the second. Up to 5-6 infusions.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place away from light and moisture.

My friend purchased this tea on a recent trip to Tasmania and had me try some. I purchased my own that very day. This tea is a hug in a cup. A tea for the soul. The lavender is not overpowring but is there enough to know it is a lavender tea. No matter how long you steep it for, it does not go bitter. My absolute favourite tea i have ever tried.

A teapot, my new best buddy

Got this beautiful tea pot for my birthday - with soul, personality and brilliant functionality - I very much recommend this teapot! It’s a great size for 1 or 2 and the glass strainer works so well and is easy to clean. The rice accord in this has me obsessed - such a smooth, rich, and cozy experience! I haven't come across anything else like this is Hobart.

I absolutely the Jasmine Dragon Pearls/ Buddhas Tears. I have a very sensitive tummy and often struggle to unwind after a long workday.With this amazing tea , it’s such so tasteful and light and ooh so refreshing and relaxing. I’ve tried so many different teas but this is my all time favourite.

Very soothing

I'd never thought to combine Puerh with lavender, but this makes for a very soothing flavour combination. The calming lavender and earthy puerh feels very 'Tasmanian'. I'm looking forward to trying more teas here.
