Blue cat face sauce dish, 10 cm ceramic dip dish in four cats

This blue cat face sauce dish is a 10 cm round ceramic dish with a cat's face painted in cobalt blue across the whole inside. There are four cats to choose from: a calico, a tabby, a tuxedo and a Scottish fold with its ears folded flat. All four are the same size and the same white porcelain, so they sit together as a set or stand alone beside a bowl of dumplings.

The dish is shallow with a slightly raised rim, the sort of thing you'd put soy sauce or chilli oil in. At a tea table it takes a few dried longans or a spoon rest. The blue is painted under the glaze, so it won't fade or scratch off with washing.

Each face is brushed on by hand. Whiskers and eyes shift a little from dish to dish, which is why the tabby in your box may look slightly more surprised than the one in the photo.
