This is a 700ml heat-resistant glass teapot with a glass infuser, made for brewing loose-leaf tea for two or three people. The body is clear glass with a round, low shape and a short straight spout. The lid, the infuser and the loop handle are tinted smoke grey, so the pot reads as two colours even when it's empty.

On the front, a black and white cat sits with its eyes closed and an orange butterfly resting on its back, with a few petals drifting past. The print is on the outside of the glass, and once the pot fills with tea the cat sits against the colour of the brew. It is a playful pot. We stock it for people who want their tea table to have one thing on it that makes them smile, and for anyone buying a gift for a cat person.

Caring for your glass teapot

• Rinse the infuser soon after use so leaves don't dry onto the glass, then hand wash in warm water
• Wash the printed side by hand with a soft cloth rather than a scourer
• Avoid pouring boiling water into a pot straight from a cold cupboard; a quick warm rinse first is enough
• Small bubbles or ripples in the glass are normal for hand-formed glassware
